The Kuru Line, Bhīṣma and Vyāsa; Pāṇḍavas, Parīkṣit, and Future Kings
Chandravaṁśa Continuation
It lists a succession of kings—Timi, Bṛhadratha, Śatānīka (connected with Sudāsa), then Durdama, and finally Mahīnara—showing the continuity of the Chandravansha line.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī speaks this verse to King Parīkṣit while narrating the dynastic histories in Canto 9.
They train the reader to see history as sacred continuity under dharma, encouraging humility and remembrance that all worldly power is temporary, while devotion to Bhagavān is enduring.
