Continuation and Future of the Sūrya-vaṁśa: From Kuśa to the Last Ikṣvāku King
सगणस्तत्सुतस्तस्माद् विधृतिश्चाभवत् सुत: । ततो हिरण्यनाभोऽभूद् योगाचार्यस्तु जैमिने: ॥ ३ ॥ शिष्य: कौशल्य आध्यात्मं याज्ञवल्क्योऽध्यगाद् यत: । योगं महोदयम् ऋषिर्हृदयग्रन्थिभेदकम् ॥ ४ ॥
sagaṇas tat-sutas tasmād vidhṛtiś cābhavat sutaḥ tato hiraṇyanābho ’bhūd yogācāryas tu jaimineḥ
Putera Vajranābha ialah Sagaṇa, dan puteranya ialah Vidhṛti. Daripada Vidhṛti lahirlah Hiraṇyanābha, murid Jaimini dan ācārya agung yoga mistik. Daripada Hiraṇyanābha inilah resi besar Yājñavalkya mempelajari ādhyātma-yoga yang luhur, yoga yang meleraikan simpulan keterikatan dalam hati.
Hiraṇyanābha is presented as a descendant in the solar dynasty line from Kuśa, specifically noted here as a celebrated teacher of yoga who instructed the sage Jaimini.
Yogācārya means an authoritative teacher of yoga—one who both knows the discipline and transmits it through instruction, showing how sacred knowledge is carried by qualified teachers.
