FAQs

This verse states that Lord Kalki will manifest in the home of the brāhmaṇa Viṣṇuyaśā, who is described as a great-souled leading resident of the village of Śambhala.

In Canto 12, Śukadeva explains Kali-yuga’s course and its culmination; identifying Kalki’s appearance is part of outlining how the Lord intervenes at the end of the age.

It encourages faith that dharma is ultimately restored by the Lord; meanwhile, one should take shelter of bhakti and live righteously even amid Kali-yuga’s decline.
