FAQs

This verse depicts the Vṛṣṇis resting contentedly in the soothing shade at Kṛṣṇa’s feet, illustrating that true ease and fulfillment are found in closeness to the Lord and devotion to Him.

The Vṛṣṇis are members of the Yadu dynasty, and the verse calls them kṛṣṇa-devatāḥ to emphasize that Kṛṣṇa is their supreme worshipable Deity and life-center.

Act with humility and proper conduct (seeking permission and honoring order), and seek real rest of the heart through bhakti—regular remembrance and service of Kṛṣṇa—rather than only external comfort.
