Duryodhana’s Envy at Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rājasūya and the Avabhṛtha Festival
Avabhṛthya snāna is the concluding ceremonial bath that completes a major Vedic sacrifice; here, after the final rites, the priests bathe the sacrificer in the Gaṅgā as a sign of purification and completion.
Draupadī is also known as Kṛṣṇā due to her dark, radiant complexion; this verse notes that she accompanied the king in the concluding purification bath as part of the wife-associated sacrificial rites.
It highlights completing sacred duties with purity and gratitude—practically, one can cultivate inner cleanliness through daily remembrance of the Lord, simple purificatory habits, and honoring the sanctity of spiritual commitments.
