Kṛṣṇa Defeats Bāṇāsura and Receives Śiva’s Prayers
The Śoṇitapura Battle and the Jvara Episode
This verse shows that when Kṛṣṇa grants abhaya—assurance of safety—even an asura becomes pacified and acts respectfully, indicating Kṛṣṇa’s supreme power to remove fear and transform the heart.
After Kṛṣṇa reassured him of safety, the demon offered obeisance and complied by escorting Pradyumna—along with his wife—showing submission to Kṛṣṇa’s command within the unfolding līlā.
Seek shelter of the Lord in fearful situations—through prayer, remembrance, and right action—trusting that divine protection brings clarity and the strength to do what is proper and reconciliatory.
