The Lord’s Advent: Yoga-māyā’s Mission, Saṅkarṣaṇa’s Transfer, and the Demigods’ Prayers

Wahai Tuhan bermata teratai, tempat bernaungnya seluruh kewujudan!
The true mission in life is to cross the ocean of nescience, of repeated birth and death. Those in the darkness of ignorance, however, do not know this mission. Instead, being carried away by the waves of material nature ( prakṛteḥ kriyamāṇāni guṇaiḥ karmāṇi sarvaśaḥ ), they are undergoing the tribulations of mṛtyu-saṁsāra-vartmani, repeated birth and death. But persons who have achieved knowledge by the association of devotees follow the mahājanas ( mahat-kṛtena ). Such a person always concentrates his mind upon the lotus feet of the Lord and executes one or more of the nine varieties of devotional service ( śravaṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ viṣṇoḥ smaraṇaṁ pāda-sevanam ). Simply by this process, one can cross the insurmountable ocean of nescience.
This verse says that those who absorb their minds in the lotus-eyed Lord cross the bhava-ocean by the “boat” of His lotus feet, making it as small as water in a calf’s hoofprint.
They pray because the Lord has descended to relieve the earth’s burden and protect devotees; they glorify Him as the ultimate refuge, whose lotus feet carry sincere souls beyond material existence.
Regularly fix the mind on Krishna through sincere prayer, mantra-japa, hearing Bhagavatam, and devotional service—using remembrance of His lotus feet as the steady “boat” through anxiety, fear, and worldly change.
