Kūrma Supports Mandara; Hālahala Appears; Śiva Becomes Nīlakaṇṭha
इति तूष्णीं स्थितान्दैत्यान् विलोक्य पुरुषोत्तम: । स्मयमानो विसृज्याग्रं पुच्छं जग्राह सामर: ॥ ४ ॥
iti tūṣṇīṁ sthitān daityān vilokya puruṣottamaḥ smayamāno visṛjyāgraṁ pucchaṁ jagrāha sāmaraḥ
Demikianlah para asura berdiri diam menentang kehendak para dewa. Melihat mereka dan memahami niatnya, Puruṣottama tersenyum. Tanpa perbahasan, Dia segera melepaskan bahagian hadapan dan memegang ekor ular; para dewa pun mengikut-Nya.
This verse shows the Lord calmly assessing the Daityas and, with a smile, choosing a strategic position—illustrating His sovereign intelligence and control even amid conflict.
In the churning arrangement, the Lord guides the process so the devas are protected and the cosmic purpose is fulfilled; His choice of sides reflects divine strategy, not limitation.
When tensions rise, remain steady, observe clearly, and act deliberately—calm, dharmic decision-making can redirect outcomes without anger or panic.
