The Appearance of Vāmanadeva and His Arrival at Bali’s Sacrifice
adyāgnayo me suhutā yathā-vidhi dvijātmaja tvac-caraṇāvanejanaiḥ hatāṁhaso vārbhir iyaṁ ca bhūr aho tathā punītā tanubhiḥ padais tava
This verse states that the water used to wash the Lord’s feet destroys sins and even sanctifies sacred rites like fire sacrifices, showing caraṇāmṛta as a potent purifier when connected to devotion.
Vāmana appeared in the role of a young brāhmaṇa brahmacārī. Bali honors that divine disguise and acknowledges the sanctity of His presence within the ritual setting.
Offer worship with humility and devotion, and seek purification through sincere remembrance and service to the Lord—valuing inner surrender over mere external ritual.
