छायासंज्ञासुतो यो ऽसौ द्वितीयः कथितो मनुः पूर्वजस्य सवर्णो ऽसौ सावर्णिस् तेन कथ्यते

Transliteration

chāyāsaṃjñāsuto yo 'sau dvitīyaḥ kathito manuḥ pūrvajasya savarṇo 'sau sāvarṇis tena kathyate

Translation

जो ‘द्वितीय’ म्हणून कथिला मनु, तो छाया-संज्ञेचा पुत्र आहे; तो पूर्वजासारखाच सवर्ण व स्वभावाचा असल्याने ‘सावर्णि’ म्हणून ओळखला जातो।
