भारतवर्षमहात्म्यम् — कर्मभूमित्वम्, नवभेदाः, कुलपर्वताः-नद्यः-जनपदाः, युगचक्रविशेषः, यज्ञपुरुषविष्णुपूजा
तास्व् इमे कुरुपाञ्चाला मध्यदेशादयो जनाः पूर्वदेशादिकाश् चैव कामरूपनिवासिनः
tāsv ime kurupāñcālā madhyadeśādayo janāḥ pūrvadeśādikāś caiva kāmarūpanivāsinaḥ
त्या प्रदेशांत कुरु व पाञ्चाल, मध्यदेश इत्यादींचे लोक, पूर्वदेश व लगतच्या देशांचे जन, तसेच कामरूपनिवासी—हे सर्व आपापल्या नियत भागात वास करतात।
