गणैर्वृतो मातृबिरन्वयातो मयूरसंस्थो वरशक्तिपाणिः सैन्याधिपत्ये स कृतो भवेन रराज सूर्येव महावपुष्मान्

गणांनी वेढलेला व मातृकांनी अनुगत, मयूरावर आरूढ आणि हातात श्रेष्ठ शक्ति धारण करणारा तो भव (शिव) याने सेनापतीपदी नेमला; महान तेजाने तो सूर्याप्रमाणे शोभला।
