Description of the Sages’ Inquiry

प्रजापालनसद्धर्मविहीना भोगतत्पराः । प्रजासंहारका दुष्टा जीवहिंसाकरा मुदा

prajāpālanasaddharmavihīnā bhogatatparāḥ | prajāsaṃhārakā duṣṭā jīvahiṃsākarā mudā

प्रजापालनाच्या सद्धर्मापासून दूर होऊन ते केवळ भोगात आसक्त झाले. दुष्ट स्वभावाचे ते प्रजेचा संहार करू लागले आणि आनंद मानून जीवहिंसा करीत राहिले.
