अत्रेतिहासं वक्ष्येऽहं परमर्षे पुरातनम् । शृणु तं श्रद्धया तात परमं ज्ञानकारणम्
atretihāsaṃ vakṣye'haṃ paramarṣe purātanam | śṛṇu taṃ śraddhayā tāta paramaṃ jñānakāraṇam
हे परमर्षी, येथे मी एक प्राचीन पवित्र इतिहास सांगतो. बाळा, श्रद्धेने ऐक; तो परम ज्ञानाचा हेतु असून जीवाला शिवाभिमुख करतो.
