शुद्ध सामगानाने व दोषरहित स्तोत्रांनी इंद्राला प्रफुल्लित करून आवाहन करणारी आऐंद्र स्तुती. शुद्धता व योग्य विधीमुळे देवशक्ती तत्काळ अनुकूल होते; यज्ञफळांना अडथळा आणणारे वृत्रादी विघ्न दूर होवोत, विजय, धन, रत्न व वाज (बलाचा पुरस्कार) प्राप्त होवो अशी याचना. शेवटी सरस्वतीला ‘स्तोम्या’—नियमबद्ध स्तोत्रास योग्य—अशी स्तुती करून, हे स्तवन प्रशंसनीय व प्रिय ठरून शुभफल देओ अशी अनुमती/आशीर्वाद मागितला आहे.
