प्रातःकाळी लोकांनी अग्नीची स्तुती करावी—तो ‘पुरुप्रिय’ (अनेकांचा प्रिय), अतिथी आहे; त्या अमर्त्य अग्नीमध्येच मर्त्यजन हव्य (हवि) प्रज्वलित करतात।
