सप्तचत्वारिंशः सर्गः — वानरयूथपानां अन्वेषणवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम्

सरांसि सरित काक्षानाकाशं नगराणि च।नदीदुर्गांस्तथा शैलान्विचिन्वन्ति समन्ततः।।4.47.2।।
sarāṁsi sarit-kakṣān ākāśaṁ nagarāṇi ca |
nadī-durgāṁs tathā śailān vicinvanti samantataḥ || 4.47.2 ||
ते सर्वत्र शोध करीत—सरोवरे, नदीकाठ व जलमार्ग, आकाश व नगरे; तसेच नदीदुर्ग आणि पर्वतही चहूबाजूंनी तपासीत।
