सप्तचत्वारिंशः सर्गः — वानरयूथपानां अन्वेषणवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम्

गहनेषु च देशेषु दुर्गेषु विषमेषु च।सत्त्वान्यतिप्रमाणानि विचितानि हतानि च।।4.47.13।।ये चैव गहना देशा विचितास्ते पुनः पुनः।
gahaneṣu ca deśeṣu durgeṣu viṣameṣu ca |
sattvāny atipramāṇāni vicitāni hatāni ca || 4.47.13 ||
ye caiva gahanā deśā vicitās te punaḥ punaḥ |
घनदाट प्रदेशांत, दुर्गम किल्ल्यांत व विषम भूमीवरही त्यांनी शोध घेतला। तेथे अतिप्रचंड वन्य सत्त्वे आढळली—शोधून काढली गेली आणि काहींचा वधही झाला; आणि जे-जे कठीण प्रदेश, ते पुन्हा पुन्हा नीट तपासले गेले।
