ततोऽग्निं विधिवद्दत्त्वा सोऽपसव्यं चकार ह।पितरं दीर्घमध्वानं प्रस्थितं व्याकुलेन्द्रियः4.25.49।।
tato 'gniṁ vidhivad dattvā so 'pasavyaṁ cakāra ha |
pitaraṁ dīrgham adhvānaṁ prasthitaṁ vyākulendriyaḥ || 4.25.49 ||
त्यानंतर त्याने विधिपूर्वक अग्नीत आहुती देऊन चितेची अपसव्य परिक्रमा केली. इंद्रिये व्याकुळ झाली; जणू पिता दीर्घ प्रवासास निघून गेला आहे असे वाटत होते।
