तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
एवं विचित्राः पतगा नानारावविराविणः।वृक्षगुल्मलताः पश्य सम्पतन्ति समन्ततः।।।।
evaṁ vicitrāḥ patagā nānārāvavirāviṇaḥ |
vṛkṣagulmalatāḥ paśya sampatanti samantataḥ ||
पहा, हे विचित्र पक्षी नानाविध राव करीत सर्व बाजूंनी वृक्ष, झुडपे व लता यांच्याकडे उडत येत आहेत।
'See, the different kinds of birds flying towards trees, shrubs and vines making wonderful sounds all over.
It suggests attentiveness and right perception: dharma begins with seeing reality clearly—here, nature’s harmony contrasts with the hero’s inner grief, urging disciplined awareness rather than rash action.
Rāma points out the spring landscape to Lakṣmaṇa; the lively movement of birds frames his lament.
Mindful endurance: despite sorrow, Rāma remains observant and composed enough to describe the world accurately.
