तत्फलं प्राप्यते पुंसाकृष्णजन्माष्टमीव्रतात् । यत्फलं द्वारकां गत्वा दृष्टे विश्वेश्वरे हरौ । तत्फलं प्राप्यते दीनैः कृत्वा जन्माष्टमीव्रतम्

tatphalaṃ prāpyate puṃsākṛṣṇajanmāṣṭamīvratāt | yatphalaṃ dvārakāṃ gatvā dṛṣṭe viśveśvare harau | tatphalaṃ prāpyate dīnaiḥ kṛtvā janmāṣṭamīvratam

कृष्ण-जन्माष्टमी व्रत केल्याने मनुष्याला तेच फळ मिळते, जे द्वारकेला जाऊन विश्वेश्वर हरिचे दर्शन घेतल्याने मिळते. दीन-दरिद्रीही जन्माष्टमी व्रत केल्याने तेच पुण्य प्राप्त करतात।
