tasminsamāgame subhrūḥ śarmiṣṭhā vārṣaparvaṇī lebhe garbhaṃ prathamatas tasmānnṛpatisattamāt //

त्या संगमात सुंदर भुवया असलेली वृषपर्वणाची कन्या शर्मिष्ठा हिने त्या श्रेष्ठ नृपतीपासून प्रथमच गर्भ धारण केला.
