पितॄन् आवाहयिष्यामि कुर्वित्युक्तस्तु तैः पुनः उशन्तस्त्वा तथायन्तु ऋग्भ्याम् आवाहयेत्पितॄन् //
pitṝn āvāhayiṣyāmi kurvityuktastu taiḥ punaḥ uśantastvā tathāyantu ṛgbhyām āvāhayetpitṝn //
त्यांनी पुन्हा सांगितल्यावर तो म्हणावा—“मी पितरांचे आवाहन करीन; मी हा विधी करीत आहे।” नंतर “उशन्तस्त्वा…” अशा आरंभीच्या दोन ऋचांचे पठण करून पितरांचे आवाहन करावे।
