पाण्डवपरिचयः—विराटसभायां प्रकाशनम्

शान्तिं परां प्राप्प यदा स्थितो भू- रुत्सृज्य बाणांश्व धनुर्विचित्रम् । “पितामह! यह आपके हाथसे कैसे बच गया? आप इसे इस प्रकार मथ डालिये
vaiśampāyana uvāca | śāntiṃ parāṃ prāpya yadā sthito bhūr utsṛjya bāṇāṃś ca dhanur vicitram |
तो आपल्या विचित्र धनुष्य-बाणांना टाकून देऊन भूमीवर गाढ शांतित बुडून अचेत पडला होता; तेव्हा शान्तनुनंदन भीष्म हसत दुर्योधनास म्हणाले— “राजन्! त्या वेळी तुझी बुद्धी कुठे गेली होती? आणि तुझा पराक्रम कुठे होता?”
