राजपुत्रो$सि भद्रे ते कुले मत्स्यस्य विश्रुते । जातत्त्वं शत्रुदमने नावसीदितुमरहसि,तुम राजकुमार हो। तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। तुमने मत्स्यनरेशके विख्यात वंशमें जन्म ग्रहण किया है; अतः शत्रुओंके संहारके अवसरपर तुम्हें शिथिल नहीं होना चाहिये। राजपुत्र! तुम तो शत्रुओंका नाश करनेवाले हो, अतः पूर्णरूपसे धैर्य धारण करके रथपर बैठो और युद्ध करते समय मेरे घोड़ोंको काबूमें रखो

अर्जुन म्हणाला—तू राजपुत्र आहेस; तुझे कल्याण असो. तू मत्स्यराजाच्या विख्यात कुळात जन्मला आहेस; म्हणून शत्रुदमनाच्या वेळी तुला खचणे शोभत नाही. धैर्य दृढ करून रथावर स्थिर हो आणि युद्धकाळी माझे घोडे रासांनी नीट आवरून धर.
