द्रोणस्य पुडुखसक्ताश्न प्रभवन्त: शरासनात् | एको दीर्घ इवादृश्यदाकाशे संहत: शर:,वे सभी पक्षधारी बाण-समुदाय आचार्य द्रोणके धनुषसे प्रकट हुए थे। आकाशमें उन बाणोंका समूह परस्पर सटकर एक ही विशाल बाणके समान दिखायी देता था
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
droṇasya pṛthukasaṅktāḥ śarāḥ prabhavantaḥ śarāsanāt |
eko dīrgha ivādṛśyad ākāśe saṃhataḥ śaraḥ ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—द्रोणांच्या धनुषातून घट्ट एकत्र जमलेला बाणांचा मोठा समूह बाहेर पडला. आकाशात तो समूह परस्परांशी सटून जणू एकच दीर्घ, प्रचंड बाण असल्याप्रमाणे दिसत होता.
