The verse implicitly links lasting honor with dharma: exemplary ancestors and kings are portrayed as radiant and welcomed in Indra’s celestial realm, suggesting that ethical rule and righteous living lead to enduring renown and spiritual elevation.
Vaiśampāyana describes a vision of Indra’s vimāna in which illustrious figures—Manu and several famed kings—are seen shining with splendor, forming part of a larger depiction of exalted beings gathered in the divine presence.
