Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 25: Kaurava Deliberation and the Search Directive (अन्वेषण-आदेशः)
किंचित्काले मनुष्येन्द्र सूतानामनुगा वयम् । मृगयित्वा यथान्यायं वेदितार्था: सम तत्त्वतः,मानवेन्द्र! कुछ कालतक हमलोग उनके सारथियोंके पीछे लगे रहे और अच्छी तरह खोज करके हमने एक यथार्थ बातका ठीक-ठीक पता लगा लिया है
kiṃcitkāle manuṣyendra sūtānām anugā vayam | mṛgayitvā yathānyāyaṃ veditārthāḥ sma tattvataḥ ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—मनुष्येंद्र! काही काळ आम्ही त्यांच्या सारथ्यांच्या मागे लागलो. योग्य रीतीने शोध घेऊन आम्ही तो विषय सत्याप्रमाणे अचूक जाणून घेतला आहे.
