किरीटं सूर्यसंकाशं यस्य मूर्द्धन्यशोभत । वेणीविकृतकेशान्त: सोडयमद्य धनंजय:

kirīṭaṃ sūryasaṅkāśaṃ yasya mūrdhny aśobhata | veṇī-vikṛta-keśāntaḥ so 'yam adya dhanañjayaḥ ||

वैशंपायन म्हणाले—ज्याच्या मस्तकावर सूर्यसमान तेजस्वी किरीट शोभत असे, तोच धनंजय (अर्जुन) आज वेणी/चोटी धारण केल्यामुळे केसांचे टोक विस्कटलेले दिसतो.
