Pulastya’s Instruction
tatra snātvā naro rājan svargalokaṃ prapadyate | āpagāyāṃ naraḥ snātvā arcayitvā maheśvaram |
Ritual purification (bathing at a sacred place) combined with sincere worship of Maheśvara is presented as a dharmic act that yields spiritual merit culminating in attainment of heaven.
The speaker instructs the king about the फल (result) of a particular tīrtha: bathing there, and specifically bathing in the river and worshipping Śiva, leads to the reward of reaching svarga.
