एवं सा तर्कयित्वा तु दमयन्ती विशाम्पते । दूतीं प्रस्थापयामास नैषधान्वेषणे शुभा,युधिष्ठिर! इस प्रकार विचार करके शुभलक्षणा दमयन्तीने नलका पता लगानेके लिये अपनी दूतीको भेजा
evaṃ sā tarkayitvā tu damayantī viśāmpate | dūtīṃ prasthāpayāmāsa naiṣadhānveṣaṇe śubhā, yudhiṣṭhira |
अशा प्रकारे विचार करून, हे जननायक, शुभलक्षणा दमयंतीने निषधराज नलाचा शोध घेण्यासाठी आपली दूती पाठवली।
