Vidura’s Recall from Kāmyaka-vana and Reconciliation with Dhṛtarāṣṭra (विदुरानयनम् / क्षमायाचनम्)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत अरण्यपर्वमें विदुरप्रत्यागयमनविषयक छठा अध्याय पूरा हुआ,विषमुद्धन्धनं चैव शस्त्रमग्निप्रवेशनम् । करिष्ये न हि तानृद्धान् पुनर्द्रष्टमिहोत्सहे “मैं जहर खा लूँगा, फाँसी लगा लूँगा, अपने-आपको ही शस्त्रसे मार दूँगा अथवा जलती आगममें प्रवेश कर जाऊँगा; परंतु पाण्डवोंको फिर बढ़ते या फलते-फूलते नहीं देख सकूँगा”
viṣam uddhāraṇaṁ caiva śastram agni-praveśanam | kariṣye na hi tān ṛddhān punar draṣṭum ihotsahe ||
अशा प्रकारे श्रीमहाभारताच्या वनपर्वातील अरण्यपर्वात विदुर-प्रत्यागमनविषयक सहावा अध्याय समाप्त झाला। “मी विष पिऊन टाकीन, किंवा गळफास घेईन, किंवा शस्त्राने स्वतःला मारून टाकीन, अथवा धगधगत्या अग्नीत प्रवेश करीन; पण पांडवांना पुन्हा येथे समृद्ध व फुलताना पाहणे मला सहन होत नाही।”
