युधिछिर उवाच
The verse underscores moral causality: adharma leads to destruction and disgrace. Yudhiṣṭhira’s words present a dharmic assurance that wrongdoing will not remain unpunished, even if justice is delayed.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Draupadī (Pāñcālī), foretelling the violent end of their wrongdoers: their bodies will fall on the battlefield and be dragged and eaten by scavengers. It expresses both grief and a firm resolve that justice will ultimately prevail.
