अनेकैरिषुसड्घातैरन्तरिक्षे ववर्ष ह । भरतश्रेष्ठ जनमेजय! अर्जुन उस समय कर्णि, नालीक तथा नाराच आदि बाणोंकी वर्षा कर रहे थे। प्याससे पीड़ित हुए अर्जुनने कितने ही अमोघ बाणोंका प्रयोग करके आकाशमें भी कई बार बाण-समूहकी वर्षा की
anekair iṣu-saṅghātair antarikṣe vavarṣa ha | bharataśreṣṭha janamejaya! arjunaḥ tasmin samaye karṇī-nālīka-nārācādīn bāṇān vavarṣa | pipāsayā pīḍitaḥ arjunaḥ katipayān amoghān bāṇān prayujya ākāśe 'pi bahuśaḥ bāṇa-saṅghāta-varṣaṃ cakāra |
भरतश्रेष्ठ जनमेजय! त्या वेळी अर्जुन कर्णी, नालीक व नाराच इत्यादी बाणांचे असंख्य समूह आकाशात वर्षावीत होता। तहानाने व्याकुळ असूनही त्याने अनेक अमोघ बाणांचा उपयोग करून पुन्हा पुन्हा आकाशालाही बाणांच्या घनवृष्टीने भरून टाकले।
