स सर्वनाश्रमान् गत्वा शैब्यया सह भार्यया । पुत्रहेतो: परामार्ति जगाम भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ] वे अपनी पत्नी शैब्याके साथ सभी आश्रमोंमें जाकर पुत्रका पता लगाने लगे। उस समय उन्हें सत्यवानके लिये बड़ी वेदना हो रही थी
sa sarvān āśramān gatvā śaibyayā saha bhāryayā | putra-hetoḥ parām ārtiṁ jagāma bharatarṣabha ||
हे भरतश्रेष्ठ! ते पत्नी शैब्यासह सर्व आश्रमांत गेले—पुत्राचा शोध घेण्यासाठी; आणि सत्यवानाच्या शोकाने व्याकुळ होऊन त्यांना तीव्र वेदना झाली.
