राक्षसै्निहतानां च वानराणां समुद्भवम्‌ | तब श्रीरामचन्द्रजीने उनसे ये वर माँगे--“मेरी धर्ममें सदा स्थिति रहे, शत्रुओंसे कभी पराजय न हो तथा राक्षसोंके द्वारा मारे गये वानर पुनः जीवित हो जाये

Transliteration

rākṣasair nihatānāṃ ca vānarāṇāṃ samudbhavam | tataḥ śrīrāmacandrajīna tebhyaḥ ete varān ayācata—“mama dharme sadā sthitir bhavatu, śatrubhiḥ kadācid api parājayo mā bhūt, tathā rākṣasair hatā vānarāḥ punaḥ jīvantu” |

Translation

मार्कंडेय म्हणाले—त्यानंतर त्यांनी राक्षसांनी मारलेल्या वानरांच्या पुनर्जीवनाविषयी वर मागितला. तेव्हा श्रीरामचंद्र म्हणाले—“माझी धर्मात सदैव स्थिती राहो; शत्रूंनी मला कधीही पराजित करू नये; आणि राक्षसांनी मारलेले वानर पुन्हा जिवंत व्हावेत।”
