तयो: समभवद् युद्ध तदान्योन्यं जिगीषतो: । अतीव चित्रमाश्चर्य शक्रप्रह्लादयोरिव,वे दोनों ही एक-दूसरेको जीतनेके लिये उत्सुक थे। उस समय उनमें इन्द्र और प्रह्नादकी भाँति अत्यन्त अद्भुत तथा आश्चर्यजनक युद्ध होने लगा
tayoḥ samabhavad yuddhaṃ tadānyonyaṃ jigīṣatoḥ | atīva citram āścaryaṃ śakra-prahlādayor iva ||
मग एकमेकांना जिंकण्याच्या उत्कट इच्छेने त्या दोघांत युद्ध माजले. ते युद्ध इंद्र व प्रह्लाद यांच्या संग्रामाप्रमाणे अत्यंत विचित्र व आश्चर्यकारक झाले.
