सभृत्यदारो राजेन्द्र सुग्रीवो वानराधिप: । इदमाह वच: प्रीतो लक्ष्मणं नरकुज्जरम्
sabhṛtyadāro rājendra sugrīvo vānarādhipaḥ | idam āha vacaḥ prīto lakṣmaṇaṁ narakujjaram ||
मार्कण्डेय म्हणाले—हे राजेंद्र! सेवकवर्ग व कुटुंबासह वानराधिप सुग्रीव प्रसन्न होऊन, मनुष्यमध्ये रणहत्तीप्रमाणे पराक्रमी लक्ष्मणाला हे वचन म्हणाला।
मार्कण्डेय उवाच

Markandeya narrates that Sugriva, the monkey-king, accompanied by his attendants and household, is pleased and addresses Lakshmana, praising him as a powerful hero comparable to a war-elephant among men.
