ततो वैश्रवर्णं तत्र ददृशुर्नरवाहनम् | पित्रा सार्थ समासीनमृद्धया परमया युतम्,एक दिन नरवाहन कुबेर अपने महान् ऐश्वर्यसे युक्त होकर पिताके साथ बैठे थे। उसी अवस्थामें रावण आदिने उनको देखा
tato vaiśravaṇaṃ tatra dadṛśur naravāhanam | pitrā sārdhaṃ samāsīnam ṛddhyā paramayā yutam ||
तेव्हा त्यांनी तेथे नरवाहन वैश्रवण (कुबेर) याला पाहिले—तो पित्याबरोबर बसलेला होता आणि परम ऐश्वर्य व तेजाने युक्त होता.
