रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः

पितृपैतामहं राज्यं प्राप्स्पस्पमितविक्रम । वर्षात् त्रयोदशादूर्ध्व व्येतु ते मानसो ज्वर:,अमितपराक्रमी युधिष्ठिर! तुम तेरहवें वर्षके बाद अपने बाप-दादोंका राज्य प्राप्त कर लोगे, अतः अब तुम्हारी मानसिक चिन्ता दूर हो जानी चाहिये
pitṛpaitāmahaṃ rājyaṃ prāpsyasi mitavikrama | varṣāt trayodaśād ūrdhvaṃ vyetu te mānaso jvaraḥ ||
व्यास म्हणाले—हे मितविक्रम! तेरावे वर्ष पूर्ण झाल्यावर तू आपल्या पितृ-पितामहांचे पैतृक राज्य पुन्हा प्राप्त करशील; म्हणून आता तुझ्या मनातील ज्वर—चिंता व शोक—निघून जावो.
