रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः

देवदूत नमस्ते5स्तु गच्छ तात यथासुखम् | महादोषेण मे कार्य न स्वर्गेण सुखेन वा,“देवदूत! तुम्हें नमस्कार है। तात! तुम सुखपूर्वक पधारो। स्वर्ग अथवा वहाँका सुख महान् दोषसे युक्त है; इसलिये मुझे उसकी आवश्यकता नहीं है
devadūta namaste 'stu gaccha tāta yathāsukham | mahādoṣeṇa me kāryaṁ na svargeṇa sukhena vā ||
मुद्गल म्हणाले—देवदूत! तुला नमस्कार. तात! तू सुखाने जा. स्वर्ग आणि तेथील सुखही माझ्यासाठी महादोषाने युक्त आहे; म्हणून मला त्याची गरज नाही.
