चित्रसेन-समागमः / The Engagement with Citrasena and the Gandharvas
कथयामासत्ुतश्रित्रा: कथा: कुरुयदूत्थिता: । अथाब्रवीत् सत्यभामा कृष्णस्य महिषी प्रिया,कुरुकुल और यदुकुलसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाली अनेक विचित्र बातें उनकी चर्चाकी विषय थीं। भगवान् श्रीकृष्णकी प्यारी पटरानी सत्राजितकुमारी सुन्दरी सत्यभामाने एकान्तमें द्रौपदीसे इस प्रकार पूछा--'शुभे! ट्रुपदकुमारि! किस बर्तावसे तुम हृष्ट-पुष्ट अंगोंवाले तथा लोकपालोंके समान वीर पाण्डवोंके हृदयपर अधिकार रखती हो? किस प्रकार तुम्हारे वशमें रहते हुए वे कभी तुमपर कुपित नहीं होते?

kathayām āsuḥ tatra citrāḥ kathāḥ kuru-yadu-utthitāḥ |
athābravīt satyabhāmā kṛṣṇasya mahiṣī priyā |
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—तेथे कुरू आणि यादवांशी संबंधित अनेक विचित्र कथा चर्चेचा विषय झाल्या. मग श्रीकृष्णाची प्रिय पटराणी सत्यभामा एकांतात द्रौपदीकडे वळून पत्नीधर्म, संयम आणि गृहशांतीचे उपाय यांविषयी नेमका प्रश्न विचारू लागली.
