अयं च शंखप्रवरो येन जेतासि दानवान् | अनेन विजिता लोका: शक्रेणापि महात्मना,“यह श्रेष्ठ शंख है, जिसे बजानेसे तुम्हें दानवोंपर विजय प्राप्त हो सकती है। महामना इन्द्रने भी इसके द्वारा सम्पूर्ण लोकोंपर विजय पायी है'
ayaṃ ca śaṅkhapravaro yena jetāsi dānavān | anena vijitā lokāḥ śakreṇāpi mahātmanā |
आणि हा तो श्रेष्ठ शंख आहे; याचा नाद केलास तर तू दानवांवर विजय मिळवशील. याच शंखाने महामना शक्र (इंद्र) नेही लोकांवर विजय मिळविला, असे सांगितले जाते.
