तमनादृत्य पद्मानि जिहीर्षसि बलादृत: । धर्मराजस्य चात्मानं ब्रवीषि भ्रातरं कथम्,भीमसेन! तुम अपने बलके घमंडमें आकर कुबेरकी अवहेलना करके यहाँसे कमलपुष्पोंका अपहरण करना चाहते हो। ऐसी दशामें अपने-आपको धर्मराजका भाई कैसे बता रहे हो?
tam anādṛtya padmāni jihīrṣasi balādṛtaḥ | dharmarājasya cātmānaṁ bravīṣi bhrātaraṁ katham ||
कुबेराचा अनादर करून आणि बळाच्या गर्वाने फुगून तू हे कमळफूल बलपूर्वक घेऊ पाहतोस. अशा स्थितीत तू स्वतःला धर्मराजाचा भाऊ कसा म्हणतोस?
