The Birth and Career Account of Māndhātṛ
तत: शक्रो महातेजास्तं दिदृक्षुरुपागमत् । ततो देवा महेन्द्र तमपृच्छन् धास्यततीति किम्,तत्पश्चात् महातेजस्वी इन्द्र उस बालकको देखनेके लिये वहाँ आये। उस समय देवताओंने महेन्द्रसे पूछा--यह बालक क्या पीयेगा?
tataḥ śakro mahātejās taṃ didṛkṣur upāgamat | tato devā mahendraṃ tam apṛcchan dhāsyatātīti kim |
तेव्हा महातेजस्वी शक्र (इंद्र) त्या बालकाला पाहण्याच्या इच्छेने तेथे आला. मग देवांनी महेंद्राला विचारले—“हा बालक काय पिणार?”
