evam uktas tu dharmātmā satyasaṃdho yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | naitad astīti sa krodho bhartsayāmāsa rākṣasam ||
Even a truth-committed, dharma-centered person may show anger when confronting wrongdoing or an unacceptable claim; the ethical point is firmness in truth and refusal to assent to adharma.
After hearing the rākṣasa’s statement, Yudhiṣṭhira becomes angry and openly rebukes him, insisting that what the rākṣasa proposes or asserts is impossible and unacceptable.
