Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 62 — Duryodhana’s Claim of Victory and Vidura’s Allegories on Discord and Risk
utsṛjyaiva gṛhān yas tu mokṣam evābhimanyate | lokās tejo-mayās tasya kalpante śāśvatā divi ||
The verse teaches that sincere renunciation of household attachment, when directed toward mokṣa as the supreme goal, leads to an exalted spiritual outcome—symbolized as eternal, radiant celestial realms.
In Vidura’s counsel during the Udyoga Parva, he articulates ethical and spiritual principles; here he praises the renouncer who abandons household life and prioritizes liberation, describing the lofty destiny such a person attains.
