देवै्हि सम्भूतो दिव्यो रथो गाण्डीवधन्चन: । न स जेयो मनुष्येण मा सम कृढद्ध्वं मनो युधि,'गाण्डीव धनुष धारण करनेवाले वीर अर्जुनका दिव्य रथ देवताओंद्वारा सुरक्षित है। कोई भी मनुष्य उन्हें जीत नहीं सकता, अतः तुमलोग अपने मनको युद्धकी ओर न जाने दो”
dhṛṣṭadyumna uvāca—idaṃ māṃ vaco gatasādhvasam | devaiḥ sambhūto divyo ratho gāṇḍīvadhanvanaḥ | na sa jeyo manuṣyeṇa mā sma kṛdhvaṃ mano yudhi ||
धृष्टद्युम्न म्हणाला—निर्भय होऊन माझे वचन मान्य करा. गांडीवधारी अर्जुनाचा दिव्य रथ देवतांनी संरक्षित केला आहे; कोणताही मनुष्य त्याला जिंकू शकत नाही, म्हणून त्याच्याविरुद्ध युद्धाचा विचारही मनात आणू नका.
