शेषयेदशनिर्दीप्तो विपतन् मूर्थ्नि संजय
śeṣayed aśanir dīpto vipatan mūrdhni saṃjaya
धृतराष्ट्र म्हणाले—हे संजय, ज्वलंत वज्र जरी माझ्या मस्तकावर कोसळला तरी काहीतरी शिल्लक राहील; पण तू जो वृत्तांत सांगतोस, तो मला असा भेदून टाकतो की माझ्यात काहीच उरलेले नाही असे वाटते।
