Sañjaya’s Report
हत्वा त्वहं धार्तराष्ट्रान् सकर्णान् राज्यं कुरूणामवजेता समग्रम् । यद् वः कार्य तत् कुरुध्वं यथास्व- मिष्टान् दारानात्मभोगान् भजध्वम्,“मैं कर्णसहित धृतराष्ट्रपत्रोंका वध करके कुरुदेशका सम्पूर्ण राज्य जीत लूँगा, अतः तुम्हारा जो-जो कर्तव्य शेष हो, उसे पूरा कर लो। अपने वैभवके अनुसार प्रियतमा पत्नियोंके साथ सुख भोग लो और अपने शरीरके लिये भी जो अभीष्ट भोग हों, उनका उपभोग कर लो
hatvā tv ahaṃ dhārtarāṣṭrān sa-karṇān rājyaṃ kurūṇām avajetā samagram | yad vaḥ kārya tat kurudhvaṃ yathā-svam iṣṭān dārān ātma-bhogān bhajadhvam ||
संजय म्हणाला— “कर्णासह धृतराष्ट्रपुत्रांचा वध करून मी कुरूंचे संपूर्ण राज्य जिंकून घेईन. म्हणून तुमची जी-जी कर्तव्ये उरली आहेत ती त्वरित पूर्ण करा. आपल्या सामर्थ्यानुसार प्रिय पत्नींसह सुख भोगा आणि देहासाठी जे अभिष्ट भोग आहेत त्यांचाही उपभोग घ्या.”
